Gan Xing 甘興 is a fictional character, created by John Woo, who appears in the movie Red Cliff.

Biography

Gan Xing is based on the historical character Gan Ning 甘寧, who also fought at The Battle of Chibi, but is not present in John Woo's blockbuster movie. Gan Xing dies during the siege of Cao Cao's fortress; after being hit multiple times by arrows, he takes a bag of explosives, runs towards the gates where he blows himself up, destroying the gate.
