Yan Gang 嚴綱 was an officer of Gongsun Zan. He fought against Yuan Shao's forces at Jie Bridge in 192.
Biography
Yan Gang was an officer of Gongsun Zan. In 191 Yan Gang was named Inspector of Ji Province by Gongsun Zan. When Gongsun Zan's younger cousin Gongsun Yue 公孫越 died during the Battle of Yangcheng, Gongsun Zan blamed Yuan Shao for his death and led troops against him.[1] which resulted in a battle near Jie Bridge
During the Battle of Jie Bridge, Yan Gang led an attack against Yuan Shao's officer Qu Yi 麴義, but was defeated and killed.[2]
